Discrepancies in Aired and DVD Versions of "Threads"	[close]
When the episode "Threads" originally aired, it was as an extended episode over an hour in length (exclusive of commercials).   When the Season 8 Boxed Set (Big Box Version) was released, however, the episode had been edited to the normal broadcast length of 42 minutes and change.   There was an uproar by dedicated Stargate SG-1 fans, and MGM offered a rebate program that allowed Season 8 Box Set owners to send in their DVD containing the truncated "Threads" episode and receive in return one with the full broadcast version.   That rebate period expired in 2006.   When MGM later released the "Slimline" Boxed Set of Season Eight, they insured that it contained the full extended version of "Threads".   Unfortunately, the edits that were made in the episode deleted three Indeeds: two Stand Alones and one Sentence.   Since the central theme to this website is to document "how many times Teal'c said 'Indeed' ", I feel it incumbent upon me to list the Indeeds that were originally aired and heard by millions of people, whether they are included in the Season 8 "Big Box" Set release or not. If you own the edited version of the episode, you will find only two Stand Alone Indeeds, at 10:42 and 40:41.
